Description
Mbukid Pantalangi is a forested hill in Central Sulawesi province, Indonesia, on the northern arm of Sulawesi island, at roughly 1.002°N 121.635°E — about 1,800 km east of Jakarta. According to digital-elevation-model (DEM) data compiled by the GeoNames/NGA-GNS geographic database, its summit stands about 505 m above sea level with a local prominence of about 56 m above the surrounding terrain, and a base width of about 0.75 km — making it more a low rise than a towering mountain. The surrounding land is varied; the nearest higher point reaches about 2,071 m, some 14.2 km to the southeast. Population density is low (about 29 people per km²) and the area is almost entirely forest-covered. Its climate is tropical, with a mean temperature of about 21 °C (hottest August ~22 °C, coldest February ~20 °C) and annual rainfall around 2,297 mm (wettest April ~275 mm, driest September ~56 mm). Note: another open-data DEM reading gives a lower elevation (~491 m), so the exact figure still needs field verification. No hiking trail, tourism coverage, or specific local record could be found for this hill; this profile is compiled from open geographic databases, and its data limitations are stated plainly.
