Description
Mbukid Nokodut is a forested hill in Central Sulawesi province, Indonesia, on the northern arm of Sulawesi island, at roughly 1.029°N 121.161°E — about 1,800 km northeast of Jakarta. According to digital-elevation-model (DEM) data compiled by the GeoNames/NGA-GNS geographic database, its summit stands about 805 m above sea level with a local prominence of about 109 m above the surrounding terrain, and a base width of about 1.1 km. The land around it is hilly to the southeast and mountainous to the northwest; the nearest higher point reaches about 1,032 m, some 2.2 km to the east. The area is very sparsely populated (about 5 people per km²) with no town and is almost entirely forest-covered, in a region where mountainous terrain is common. Its climate is tropical, with a mean temperature of about 22 °C (hottest June ~24 °C, coldest January ~21 °C) and annual rainfall around 2,140 mm (wettest December ~263 mm, driest September ~58 mm). Note: other open-data DEM readings give a lower elevation (~744 m), so the exact figure still needs field verification. No hiking trail, tourism coverage, or specific local record could be found for this hill; this profile is compiled from open geographic databases, and its data limitations are stated plainly.
