Description

Kuntung Keriit is a low hill in North Sulawesi province, Indonesia, at roughly 1.065°N 124.358°E — about 2,100 km east of Jakarta. In the Minahasa language "kuntung" means hill or mound, so the toponym is common in the region. According to digital-elevation-model (DEM) data compiled by the GeoNames/NGA-GNS geographic database, its summit stands about 472 m above sea level with a topographic prominence of only ~49 m above the surrounding terrain and a base width of about 0.21 km — a forested knoll rather than a climbing objective. The surrounding land is generally hilly but levels out to a plain toward the northwest, where the sea is the nearest feature. The highest point nearby is Kuntung Sinonsayang (about 1,041 m), some 3.1 km to the south. The area is almost entirely forested with a tropical climate (mean temperature ~21 °C, rainfall ~2,585 mm/yr). No hiking trail, tourism coverage, or specific local record could be found for this hill; this profile is compiled from open geographic databases, and its data limitations are stated plainly.
