Description
Huidu Tohupo is a hill of about 809 m in Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province, Indonesia. In the Gorontalo language, huidu means "mountain" or "hill" — the same root that gave the province its name (from Huidu Totolu, "three mountains"). It is the highest point in its immediate surroundings: the terrain to the south-west is hilly while it flattens into a plain to the north-east, and the sea lies to its south. The area is sparsely populated with a tropical climate — an average temperature of about 23 °C and roughly 2,100 mm of rain a year. Huidu Tohupo is recorded in the NGA-GNS place-name database and mapped in OpenStreetMap, but documentation of any climbing is very limited; no published trail record exists.
