Description
Huayna Potosí (6,088 m) is a glaciated peak in Bolivia's Cordillera Real, located roughly 25 km from the capital La Paz, making it one of the most accessible 6,000-metre summits on Earth. The mountain has two peaks—North (6,088 m) and South (6,025 m)—both permanently glaciated. Its normal route is achievable by fit beginners with a local guide, making Huayna Potosí a popular stepping stone toward higher Andean objectives such as Illimani and Sajama.
