Climbing Experiences

Huascarán (6,768 m), Peru's highest peak in the Cordillera Blanca — a long glaciated expedition (usually via Huascarán Sur) needing Huaraz acclimatization and rope/crampon skills. Climbers highlight crevasses, avalanche risk, seracs between camps 1–2, and the incomparable beauty of the tropical Andes. Huaraz is the main gateway city.
