Description

Hanuman Tibba (about 5,932 m per Wikidata; some sources cite ~5,982 m) is a mountaineering expedition peak in Himachal Pradesh, India, rising above the Solang and Beas Kund valleys near Manali. Sources place it in either the Pir Panjal or the Dhauladhar range. This snow-clad peak, often nicknamed the 'White Mountain', is not a walking trek but a technical alpine objective: the standard climb starts at Solang toward Dhundi and a Beas Kund base camp, then crosses glacier and steep ground around Tentu Pass before reaching a col and the summit. Its first ascent dates to 1912 by Heinrich Fuhrer (then called 'Bruce's Solang Weisshorn'), and the American Alpine Journal records an American ascent in 1971. The peak is also an objective for the advanced mountaineering course of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering (ABVIMAS) in Manali and is clearly visible from the Beas Kund valley.
