Description

Gunung Tapak is an inactive stratovolcano standing at 1,909 metres in Candikuning Village, Baturiti, Tabanan Regency, Bali — the seventh-highest peak on the island. Its relatively flat summit, whose name literally means 'footprint' or 'flat surface', has become a symbol of interfaith harmony, with the tomb of Habib Umar bin Maulana Yusuf al-Maghribi (one of Bali's Wali Pitu Islamic saints) standing next to a Hindu temple. The standard trail from Eka Karya Botanical Garden in Bedugul typically takes one and a half to two hours to summit.
