Description

Gunung Sawal is a forested range in Ciamis, West Java, containing a wildlife reserve. Karantenan is its highest point at approximately 1,764 m; Bongkok is a different peak within the range. Separate trails serve these destinations, making summit selection and navigation important.

From Palasari, pass Pos 1–3 and Tanjakan Asoy Geboy toward Bongkok, a subsidiary peak rather than Karantenan.
