Description
Gunung Sangiang (sometimes spelled Sanggang) is a forested summit of about 1,004 m in Tukadaya Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency — the western tip of Bali, Indonesia. It belongs to the chain of hills in northern Jembrana alongside Gunung Penginuman, Klatakan, Bakungan, Nyangkrut, and Batas; Melaya District is said to hold the most mountains in Jembrana, giving it a hilly topography. This northern belt is cool, forested highland with steep slopes (partly within West Bali conservation land) and is described as challenging for trekking, though no established standard trail to Gunung Sangiang is officially documented. Detailed information on routes, permits, and summit conditions remains very limited.
