Description

Gunung Pusuksalur is a 929 m summit in North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, on the western side of the Mount Rinjani massif. Topographic databases place it about 19 km west-south-west of Rinjani's summit (3,726 m) as its topographic "island parent", with a higher neighbour (about 1,960–1,978 m) only ~5 km to the south-east — indicating that Pusuksalur is a secondary ridge/summit on Rinjani's western flank rather than a stand-alone mountain; its recorded prominence is only about 53 m. It lies in the forested hill zone of the Pusuk area, which straddles the Lombok Barat–Lombok Utara border and is known as a route and protected forest on the western approach to Rinjani. "Pusuk" means summit in the local language. Specific information on the Pusuksalur summit itself is very limited — no dedicated hiking reports were found; its data derive from international geographic catalogues (NGA-GNS, OpenStreetMap, GeoNames, Cebuano Wikipedia) and digital-elevation models compiled by PeakVisor, not a field survey.
