Description

Gunung Mayong — known locally as Bukit Mayong — is a hill in Bedoho Village, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, right on the boundary between Ponorogo and Trenggalek. From its summit visitors can take in the Sooko landscape: sunrise rising from behind Trenggalek's mountains and sunset behind the rock walls of Mount Bayangkaki. The hill has steep cliffs that appeal to rock climbers and is often used by local scout groups as a camping spot. Access is fairly easy, reached via Bedoho Village from the district centre.
