Description
Gunung Langse is a forested hill of roughly 1,114 metres above sea level in East Java, on the highlands around the town of Batu, about 14 km north-west of the city of Malang. It stands close to the much better-known Gunung Panderman (2,046 m) — only some 2.8 km to the north-west — placing it on the fringe of the Batu mountain area. According to open geographic databases (GeoNames), its slopes are largely forest-covered and set within the densely populated highlands typical of the Malang region. The climate is tropical, with an average temperature of about 19 °C and annual rainfall near 2,473 mm, wettest in January and driest in August. Information about this peak is very limited: its existence, name and coordinates are recorded in OpenStreetMap and Wikidata, but there is no verifiable documentation of hiking routes, history or dedicated tourism literature. The data shown here is therefore basic and geographic in nature, and will be updated if a reliable local source emerges.
