Description
Gunung Hijau ("Green Mountain") is a 2,068 m summit (AMS topographic data via OpenStreetMap) in the Bukit Barisan range, in the interior of Ulu Rawas district, North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra, near the border with Jambi and Bengkulu. Its coordinates (2.897°S, 102.301°E) place it in montane rainforest adjoining the Kerinci Seblat National Park landscape, one of the largest tropical forest blocks in Sumatra. Public information on the peak is very limited: no hiking reports, marked trails, or published visitor accounts were found. Available data amount only to its name, location, and elevation from geographic databases (Wikidata and OpenStreetMap, elevation sourced from Army Map Service topographic sheets). This summary deliberately avoids detailed claims given the sparse sources; researchers of the area may find the Ulu Rawas district easier to trace as a buffer zone of Kerinci Seblat National Park.
