Description

Gunung Handeuleum is a low hill in Desa Cibodas, Palabuhanratu district, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, overlooking Palabuhanratu Bay and the Indian Ocean. Its summit has been developed into a scenic and paragliding viewpoint called "Puncak Junajah" (also branded "Augusta Hill"), opened around April 2021 on PTPN plantation land and named after the Cibodas village head. It is a viewpoint rather than a climbing peak and lies outside any national park; it should not be confused with Handeuleum Island in Ujung Kulon, Banten. No authoritative elevation is available (a local source cites roughly 300 m, unverified).
