Description
Gunung Gaijunan (about 2,338 m per the AMS T618 topographic sheet, or roughly 2,140 m per SRTM/GeoNames elevation data) is a peak in the Bukit Barisan range near Siulak Mukai, Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province, on Sumatra — an area that merges into Kerinci Seblat National Park. The summit rises only slightly above its surroundings (databases record it a dozen-odd metres above the immediate terrain), with higher ground lying a few kilometres to the north-west. Information on Gaijunan is very sparse: it appears in Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, GeoNames and a stub Cebuano-Wikipedia article, but there are no documented climbs, official trails or travel literature. This profile is therefore deliberately limited and drawn only from verified geographic sources rather than invented detail. The surrounding country is largely covered in dense montane rainforest.
