Description
Gunung Cintaberahi (colonial-era Dutch spelling: Gunung Tjintaberah; also recorded as Gunung Cintaberah in open databases) is a low hill in Central Kalimantan (Kalimantan Tengah) province, western Indonesia, at roughly 2.93°S 113.49°E — about 800 km east of Jakarta. According to digital-elevation-model (DEM) data compiled by GeoNames, its summit stands only about 24 m above sea level with a topographic prominence of roughly 3 m above the surrounding terrain, making it a very low rise rather than a mountain. Its base is about 0.5 km wide. The surrounding land is very flat; the nearest higher point reaches about 186 m, some 3.9 km to the northwest. The area is sparsely populated (about 15 people per km²) with no towns nearby and is almost entirely forest-covered. The climate is tropical rainforest, averaging about 23 °C with roughly 3,028 mm of rain a year; the driest month is typically September. Detailed information on trails, geology, or local history remains scarce; this profile is compiled from open geographic databases and does not yet include climbing records.
