Description

Gunung Bunga is a forested mountain/hill in the southern part of West Kalimantan (Kalimantan Barat) Province, Indonesia, at roughly 1°29′S 110°42′E. Several distinct places in Indonesia bear the name "Gunung Bunga"; this entry refers specifically to the point with Wikidata Q24992711 / GeoNames 1647676 / OpenStreetMap node 1070155321. GeoNames and its derived Cebuano Wikipedia article list an elevation of about 718 m (roughly 579 m above the surrounding terrain), while the open Open-Meteo digital elevation model at the same point returns a lower figure of about 567 m; both are DEM estimates with no surveyed value, so the exact height is unvalidated. The land is hilly to the east and flat to the west, with almost entirely forested and sparsely populated surroundings (about 12 people per km²). The nearest higher point reaches about 829 m, roughly 13 km to the east. The point is recorded in OpenStreetMap as natural=peak from the NGA-GNS gazetteer and has a Wikidata entry. Beyond its position, approximate elevation, and forest cover, Gunung Bunga has virtually no verified climbing, trail, or dedicated-photo documentation; this profile is deliberately limited to referenceable geographic facts.
