Description
Gunung Bengbreng is a hill peak in the South Cianjur area of West Java, Indonesia, around Tanggeung District (villages such as Sukajaya, Giri Mukti and Rawagede). Its elevation is roughly 1,550–1,611 m; gazetteer databases record a summit of about 1,552–1,577 m, while the recorded hiking track on Outdooractive reaches a high point of 1,611 m. The mountain is part of a ridge extending to the southwest, formed by tectonic uplift in southern West Java. According to the trail record, the hike runs about 7.4 km with roughly 390 m of total ascent and can be completed in a little over two hours, making it a popular day-hike among South Cianjur locals. At its foot lies the Rawa Gede lake, a local attraction. As a small regional peak, formal documentation is limited and comes mostly from hiking communities and local social-media content.
