Description
Grintovec (2,558 m) is the highest peak of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps (Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe) in northern Slovenia and one of the country's most prominent summits. Its easiest ascent is the southern route from the Kamniška Bistrica valley over the Kokrško sedlo saddle — home to the Cojzova koča hut (~1,793 m) — then up the 'Čez Streho' slope to the top. Although it uses no steel cables, this route has a very large elevation gain (about 1,600 m), making it a strenuous all-day hike. By contrast, the north-face routes are far more technical, crossing cliffs and requiring a helmet, harness and via ferrata set. As the 'roof' of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, Grintovec is one of Slovenia's most-visited 2,000 m+ peaks year-round.

Routes
Rute muka utara (teknis, butuh perlengkapan)
Sulit: pendakian teknis di muka utara, butuh helm, harness & set via ferrataIn sharp contrast to the pure-hiking southern route, the north-face routes of Grintovec cross cliffs and rank as challenging climbing lines: hikers must carry a helmet, harness and via ferrata set and have experience. For experienced climbers only, in good weather.
SourceRute selatan standar dari Kamniška Bistrica via Kokrško sedlo & Čez Streho
Menengah–sulit: mendaki murni tanpa kabel baja, tetapi beda tinggi sangat besarFrom the hut car park at Kamniška Bistrica (or the higher 'V Koncu' trailhead), the trail climbs about 2 h to Kokrško sedlo (Cojzova koča hut, ~1,793 m), then another ~2 h across the 'Čez Streho' slope to the 2,558 m summit. This route uses no steel cables or via ferrata, but its ~1,600 m gain makes it a strenuous all-day hike.
SourceClimbing Experiences
Grintovec draws hikers wanting to stand on the 'roof' of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, the range's highest peak. The standard route from the Kamniška Bistrica valley crosses the Kokrško sedlo saddle (Cojzova koča hut) and the 'Čez Streho' slope to the summit — no via ferrata, but a large elevation gain (~1,600 m) that makes it a strenuous all-day hike. Documented experiences include Slovenian- and English-language ascents, a winter version, and a 'Grintovec Round' trail-running film touring the surrounding peaks. Many sources stress the sharp contrast between the pure-hiking southern route and the technical, gear-requiring north-face routes.
