Description
Gle Brue ("glé" means hill/mountain in Acehnese) is a very low coastal hill, about 42 m above sea level, in Aceh Province at the north-western tip of Sumatra, roughly 11 km east of the city of Banda Aceh. The surrounding land is hilly to the north-east and flat to the south-west, with a bay and the sea on the north-west side; the nearest higher point is Cot Tulopo (424 m), about 4.8 km to the north-east. The area is generally forested. Given its minimal height, Gle Brue is more of a coastal rise than a mountain. Data for this feature is very limited and drawn from topographic databases (GeoNames/SRTM) and Wikidata—there is no record of a climbing route, and the information here is deliberately confined to verified facts.
