Description

Doro Nae is a hill in Soromandi District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara province, at the eastern tip of Sumbawa Island, Indonesia, with its summit near 8.27°S, 118.55°E close to Sampungu village. Its elevation is estimated at about 132 m above sea level from the Open-Meteo digital-terrain model; the NGA GEOnet Names Server classifies it as a hill (feature code 'HLL') without an official elevation figure, and OpenStreetMap records it as a natural peak (source NGA-GNS). The name element 'doro' means 'mountain/hill' in the Bima (Mbojo) language, an Austronesian language of the Bima–Sumba branch spoken across the Bima–Dompu region, and recurs in local toponyms such as Doro Api and Doro Ncanga; 'nae' generally means 'big' in Mbojo. No open documentation of climbing routes or local lore for this hill is available. This profile presents the cross-source verified location and estimated elevation plus regional and language context, and will be updated as fuller sources appear.
