Description

Doro Eru is a low hill in Monta District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, in the southern part of Sumbawa Island, Indonesia. In the Bima language (Nggahi Mbojo) the word 'doro' means mountain or hill — a prefix that commonly marks summits across the Bima–Dompu region. Its summit lies at roughly 8.700°S, 118.741°E, with the south coast to its southeast. Its elevation is uncertain: the NGA GEOnet Names (GNS) database, summarised on Cebuano Wikipedia, records the point at about 48 metres above sea level, while the Open-Meteo digital elevation model at the same coordinates gives about 142 metres — both modelled figures rather than field surveys, so the exact height cannot be confirmed. The nearest higher ground reaches about 424 metres, some 1.7 km to the north. The area has a dry savanna climate, with an average temperature near 23 °C and about 1,381 mm of annual rainfall, wettest in December. Its name and position are recorded in GNS and mapped on OpenStreetMap as a natural 'peak', but there is no documented climbing trail, permit information, or trip report. Cacumen lists it as a geographic record rather than a recommended hiking route.
