Description
Doro Batujambarano is a hill on Sumbawa Island, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. In the Bima/Mbojo language spoken here, the word 'doro' means hill or mountain, so the name literally marks a hill; the element 'batu' ('stone') in 'Batujambarano' hints at rocky ground. Its summit lies at roughly 8.684°S, 118.303°E, and a digital elevation model estimates its height in the range of about 400 metres above sea level (an approximate figure, not a field survey). The NGA GEOnet Names (GNS) database classifies it as a 'hill', and OpenStreetMap maps it as a natural 'peak'. To date there is no documented climbing trail, permit information, or trip report for it, so verified information is limited to its location, approximate elevation, the meaning of its name, and its administrative area. Cacumen lists it as a geographic record rather than a recommended hiking route.
