Description
Dola Potomana (about 1,759 m on the Bakosurtanal topographic map) is one of the summits on the highest massif of Alor island, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, a short distance west of Dola Koyakoya, the island's high point. It is also known as "Puncak Trianggulasi" because it carries a cement triangulation pillar (survey marker) at the top. Together with Dola Koyakoya and Dola Doraniki, it is usually climbed on a single outing via the route from Tanglapui Timur village in eastern Alor, crossing the grassland and eucalyptus forest typical of Alor's heights. Detailed data remains limited and comes mostly from hiking databases and topographic maps; recorded heights vary between sources (roughly 1,730–1,759 m).
