Description
Čvrsnica is a karst massif in the Dinaric Alps of northern Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its highest peak, Pločno, reaching 2,228 m. Most of the mountain lies within the municipalities of Mostar and Jablanica and forms a large part of the Blidinje plateau — the country's largest Nature Park. The massif has more than ten summits above 2,000 m (including Pločno 2,228 m, Veliki Jelinak 2,179 m and Veliki Vilinac 2,118 m), several plateaus (Plasa, Muharnica, Mala Čvrsnica) and huge vertical cliffs. It is ringed by the Neretva river and the roughly 6 km Diva Grabovica canyon, which cuts into its eastern side beneath limestone walls over 1,500 m high. One of its icons is Hajdučka vrata, a natural rock arch protected as a natural monument since 1985. Its vegetation reflects three climate zones, including the endemic munika (Bosnian pine, Pinus heldreichii) and juniper grassland, while Čvrsnica is also well known as a home of Balkan chamois.

Routes
Diva Grabovica → Hajdučka vrata (menuju Pločno)
Berat/serius: naik ±1.200 m dari dasar kanjon; disarankan bersama pemanduA dramatic approach from the floor of the Diva Grabovica canyon (~700 m), flanked by vertical limestone walls about 1,500 m high. A marked track climbs steeply to the natural rock arch Hajdučka vrata (~2,000 m) on the canyon's eastern rim, then continues toward Veliki Vilinac/Pločno. This route is far more demanding than the Blidinje trail and is usually done with a guide because of the exposure and large elevation gain.
SourceMasna Luka → Veliki Vilinac → Pločno (dari Blidinje)
Sulit: bermarkah baik tetapi berat & panjang, scree bereksposur di pendakian akhir, tanpa sumber airThe most popular route to the Pločno summit, starting at Masna Luka (~1,200 m) on the Blidinje plateau near St. Elijah Church. The trail climbs past the Ćužića Kuk viewpoint (~300 m cliffs) and Juneći Kuk to the Veliki Vilinac junction, then up a steep scree slope to the Pločno summit (2,228 m). Because there is no water along the way, all water must be carried. Karst terrain and fog demand navigational care despite the marked trail.

Climbing Experiences
Experiences on Čvrsnica almost always revolve around two very different sides. The first and most popular is the ascent from the Blidinje plateau (Masna Luka / Risovac) to the natural rock arch Hajdučka vrata (~2,000 m) and on toward Veliki Vilinac and the highest peak, Pločno (2,228 m) — a well-marked but strenuous route crossing endemic munika (Bosnian pine) woods, karst plateau and scree slopes with no water en route. The second side is the Diva Grabovica canyon at the mountain's eastern foot, where limestone walls over 1,500 m high rise up; the approach from here is far more serious and a guide is usually advised. The collected vlogs and guides show solo ascents, guided tours in Blidinje Nature Park, and canyon scenery, with recurring themes: the beauty of the Hajdučka vrata arch, Balkan chamois, and the need to carry your own water.
