Description
Cot Pomo (Acehnese: Cöt Pomo, where "cöt" means hill) is a hill in Aceh Province, Indonesia, in the northern part of Sumatra. Its elevation is recorded at roughly 612–672 m above sea level according to the Acehnese Wikipedia and GeoNames (the figures differ slightly between sources), with a prominence of only about 60 m above the surrounding terrain, making it more of a low ridge. It sits in the hilly Aceh Besar region, not far from the Seulawah Agam volcano (about 1,810 m) some 7 km to the south; Cot Pomo itself is not volcanic. The surroundings are mostly forested with sparse settlement. No open information is yet available on trails, permits, or safety records; this profile is compiled from Wikidata, GeoNames, and several Wikipedia editions, so it remains limited and preliminary.
