Description

Chhukung Ri (~5,546 m) is a viewpoint peak in Nepal's Khumbu region, directly above the village of Chhukung near Dingboche on the route to Everest Base Camp and the Three Passes trek. Unlike the area's technical climbing peaks, Chhukung Ri is usually done as a non-technical acclimatization day-hike — though its upper section is a rocky scramble. Its popularity comes from a first-class panorama: the south face of Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Island Peak (Imja Tse) and distant Makalu. That makes it a favourite 'acclimatization day' before pushing to more extreme altitude. The best seasons are spring and autumn.

Routes

Jalur pandang via desa Chhukung
