Description
Camelback Mountain (825 m / 2,706 ft) is the most prominent landmark and the highest peak in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Arizona, USA. Its name comes from a silhouette resembling the hump and head of a kneeling camel. Set between the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley, it is managed by Phoenix Parks and Recreation as the Echo Canyon Recreation Area and is one of Arizona's most popular hiking and rock-climbing destinations. Despite the short distance, its two summit trails — Echo Canyon and Cholla — are famously steep, rocky and require hands-on scrambling, so they often prove harder than beginners expect. Because it is in the desert, extreme summer heat is the chief hazard and drives many rescues each year.

Routes
Cholla Trail
Berat — lebih landai di awal namun panjang di igir dengan scrambling batu di paruh atasThe alternative summit trail from the east side (near Paradise Valley). It starts gentler along a ridge, then turns into demanding rock scrambling near the top. It is reached from a separate trailhead with limited roadside parking; it likewise demands careful water and heat management.

Berat — tanjakan curam beruntun dengan bagian scrambling & pegangan besi/tanganThe busiest and most famously strenuous summit trail. From the Echo Canyon Recreation Area it climbs steeply through handrail and hand-over-hand rock sections before the final ridge to the top. Parking fills quickly; start early, carry plenty of water and avoid summer heat.
SourceClimbing Experiences
Camelback experiences center on its two summit trails — Echo Canyon and Cholla — and nearly everyone agrees the short routes are far harder than they look. Echo Canyon vlogs highlight relentless steep pitches, handrail/hand-over-hand sections, and weekend crowds; Cholla is described as gentler early on but longer along the ridge with rock scrambling. Recurring themes: carry ample water, avoid midday heat, and respect the slick rocky terrain. The payoff is a 360° panorama of metro Phoenix from the top. Several videos also compile gear tips, time estimates, and difficulty guidance for first-timers.
