Description

Buttu Tondokobbi is a hill in West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. In the Toraja-Mamasa language 'buttu' means hill or mountain and 'tondok' means village, so the name roughly reads as 'hill of Kobbi village'. It is recorded at about 482 metres above sea level, with roughly 103 metres of prominence above the surrounding terrain and a hill base about 1.6 km wide. The surrounding terrain is hilly to the southwest and flatter to the northeast, mostly farmland; the nearest higher point is Buttu Pegulingan (about 1,030 m), roughly 6.9 km to the west. It should be stated honestly that data on this hill is very limited: its identity and coordinates derive from a single NGA-GNS toponym record propagated into OpenStreetMap, Wikidata (Q26725322) and an auto-generated Cebuano Wikipedia stub built from GeoNames data and climate models — the elevation and climate figures are algorithmic estimates, not field surveys. No verified trail information or summit photograph exists for this hill.
