Description

Buttu Tagari is a hill in the interior of South Sulawesi (Sulawesi Selatan) Province, Indonesia, at roughly 2°28′53″S 120°18′52″E. Note that the name "Buttu Tagari" is shared by several distinct hills in Sulawesi (Wikidata even has a disambiguation page); this entry refers specifically to the point with Wikidata Q26730691 / GeoNames 7613611 / OpenStreetMap node 1070155252. GeoNames and its derived Cebuano Wikipedia article list an elevation of about 344 m (SRTM-based), while the open Open-Meteo digital elevation model at the same point returns about 346 m — both DEM estimates with no surveyed figure. The surroundings are largely forested with a tropical climate; the nearest higher summit is Buttu Magandang (about 1,453 m), roughly 6.7 km to the north. The word "buttu" means hill or mountain in the local languages of South Sulawesi (cognate with Toraja "buntu"). The point is recorded in OpenStreetMap as natural=peak (from the NGA-GNS gazetteer) and has a Wikidata entry classified as a mountain. Beyond its position, approximate elevation, and classification, Buttu Tagari has virtually no verified climbing, trail, or dedicated-photo documentation; this profile is deliberately limited to referenceable geographic facts.
