Description

Buttu Panda is a summit in the highlands of Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, at roughly 2°55′24″S 119°02′53″E. The Cebuano Wikipedia geographic-names database — sourced from the U.S. NGA-GNS gazetteer — records an elevation of about 1,491 m; a check against the open Open-Meteo digital elevation model at the same point returns nearly the same value, about 1,490 m, so its height is very consistent at close to 1,500 m. The same source describes the surrounding terrain as generally hilly, with a more mountainous northwest side. The point is also recorded in OpenStreetMap as natural=peak, sourced from NGA-GNS, and has entries in Wikidata (Q26730542) and GeoNames. Note that another, much lower rise also named "Buttu Panda" (about 149 m) exists elsewhere in West Sulawesi at different coordinates; this profile refers specifically to the ~1,491 m peak in the Mamasa highlands.
