Description
Buttu Kasambang is a small peak or hill in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It stands near the village of Kasambang; in the local Mandar language the word "buttu" means mountain or hill, so the name roughly translates to "Kasambang Hill". Its elevation is about 317 m according to open-map databases (OpenStreetMap/Mapcarta) — an estimate derived from an elevation model rather than an official survey. Mamuju Regency is broadly home to the Mandar people along the coast and the Kalumpang people in the interior. To date there is no documented climbing route, historical record, or tourism information for this hill; available data is very limited and comes mainly from mapping databases. This profile will be expanded if richer verified sources appear.
