Description

Buttu Kararo is a summit of about 881 m in Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. In the Toraja language the word 'Buttu' means 'mountain' or 'hill', so the name is characteristic of the hilly Toraja highlands. The peak is recorded in international geographic gazetteers (the NGA GNS name base, later ingested into GeoNames and OpenStreetMap) as a mountain feature at about 3°14′ S, 119°44′ E. Apart from that gazetteer record, no verifiable published source was found describing a trail, tourism activity, or trip report for this summit. The profile is therefore limited to sourced location and elevation data, and terrain or routes are deliberately not invented. As context, the Tana Toraja area is generally hilly-karst terrain with traditional farming and settlements, so many 'buttu' act as local topographic markers rather than popular hiking objectives.
