Description

Bulu Bukulu is a low hill in Pangkajene dan Kepulauan (Pangkep) Regency, South Sulawesi Province, not far from the town of Pangkajene. In the Bugis-Makassar language, "bulu" means mountain or hill. Topographic databases estimate its elevation at about 102 m a.s.l. with a prominence of about 94 m — high relative to its height, indicating the hill stands fairly isolated above the surrounding plain; its nearest higher neighbour is Bulu Sude. This elevation comes from a digital elevation model rather than a field survey and should be treated as an approximation. The hill lies in the Pangkep area, regionally known as part of the Maros-Pangkep Karst — one of the world's most extensive karst landscapes — although the rock character of Bulu Bukulu itself is not specifically documented. Public information about the hill is very limited: no hiking reports, official trails, or visitor accounts were found.
