Description
Bulu Apasareng is a named hill/mountain in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, at roughly 4.83°S 120.22°E. In the regional Bugis-Makassar languages of South Sulawesi the word 'bulu' means mountain, so the name means approximately 'Mount Apasareng'. According to GeoNames data summarised in an auto-generated Cebuano Wikipedia stub, its summit stands about 312 metres above sea level but only around 46 metres above the surrounding terrain, with a base roughly 1.5 km across — so it is better described as a low hill than a towering mountain. The surrounding land is hilly to the south-west and flat to the north-east, almost entirely forest-covered with a tropical climate; the highest point in the wider area is Bulu Kalamiseng (736 m) about 6.5 km to the west. The feature is recorded as a mountain in Wikidata (Q26729466) and in OpenStreetMap from NGA-GNS/GeoNames toponymy data. Beyond these basic geographic facts, substantive information — such as climbing routes or verifiable trip reports — is essentially unavailable, so this summary is deliberately limited to confirmed data and states its limitations honestly.
