Description

Bukit Sari is a hill on Bali, Indonesia, set within the Batur caldera area in Songan village, Kintamani district, Bangli Regency. Global mapping data records its summit at about 1,999 metres above sea level, yet it rises only some 29 metres above the surrounding terrain, so it reads more as a green ridge than a prominent peak. The hill faces directly onto Lake Batur and Mount Batur, and in recent years it has become known among visitors as a quieter sunrise viewpoint and camping spot than Pinggan or the summit of Mount Batur itself. Its appeal lies in the mix of green hills, villagers' vegetable plots, thin morning mist, and the panorama of the lake and distant volcano. As a geographic feature, Bukit Sari has little formal climbing documentation — most information comes from mapping data and local tourism write-ups — but its clear location on the rim of the Batur caldera makes it easily recognisable as part of the Kintamani landscape.
