Description
Bukit Regas is a forested mountain peak of about 2,024 metres in Bengkulu province, Sumatra, Indonesia, part of the Bukit Barisan range. According to the PeakVisor database the peak lies in Bengkulu and is listed among the hundreds of peaks within the Kerinci Seblat National Park area, with its nearest higher neighbour being Bukit Seladang (about 1,828 m) some 5.7 km to the north-west. Wikidata classifies it as an ordinary (non-volcanic) mountain. Its recorded elevation is inconsistent between sources: PeakVisor and some mapping databases give about 2,024 m, while other digital-elevation-model databases (GeoNames, used by the Cebuano Wikipedia article) record a lower figure of around 1,767 m — likely because they reference slightly different summit points. Bukit Regas has virtually no climbing documentation: there is no record of an official trail, climber report, permit or news coverage, and available information is limited to geographic data from mapping databases and auto-generated encyclopaedias.
