Description
Bukit Raya (2,278 m) is the highest peak on Borneo's Indonesian side, situated within Bukit Baka–Bukit Raya National Park on the border of West and Central Kalimantan, as part of the Schwaner Mountains. Locally known as Puncak Kakam or Puncak Rajawali, it is one of Indonesia's Seven Summits and requires a demanding four-to-five day jungle trek from the Korong HP trailhead covering roughly 23 km one way. A park entry permit (SIMAKSI) is mandatory, and the ascent involves dense rainforest navigation, river crossings, and steep mossy terrain near the summit.
