Description
Bukit Pandan is a forested peak of about 1,795 m in Jambi Province, Sumatra, set within the Bukit Barisan range on the Kerinci highlands, roughly 14 km southeast of the town of Sungai Penuh. Its summit rises only about 43 m above the surrounding ridge, with mountainous terrain to the north where the nearest peak reaches about 2,022 m; the area is almost entirely forested and very sparsely populated (~8 people/km²). Owing to its altitude the climate is cool, averaging around 16 °C (coldest ~13 °C in December) with very high annual rainfall of about 3,000 mm. The hill lies in the Kerinci mountain environment associated with the Bukit Barisan conservation region, but specific verified data is limited to location, elevation, and climate from open databases — there are no documented official climbing routes, so this profile adds no unsourced claims.
