Description
Brandberg (Königstein summit, ~2,573 m) is the highest mountain in Namibia, a granite massif (inselberg) in Damaraland, Erongo Region. Reaching Königstein is a strenuous 2–3 day boulder scramble over dry creek beds, boulder fields and granite slabs with ~600 m of gain near the top. The setting is extremely hot and remote with no reliable water in the dry season and no phone signal, so a permit and local guide are mandatory. Several ancient rock-art sites line the route. Besides the summit route, a short guided walk up the Tsisab Ravine reaches the famous ~2,000-year-old “White Lady” painting in the Maack Shelter.

Königstein 5 hari keluar via Amis Canyon
Berat, ekspedisi belantaraA longer traverse that summits Königstein and descends via Amis Canyon instead of returning the same way; feasibility depends on seasonal water and requires a guide, full self-supported logistics and water filtering.
