Description
Bentihu Maming (also recorded as Gunung Maming) is a hill on Sangihe Besar Island in Kepulauan Sangihe Regency, North Sulawesi Province — an island chain in the Celebes Sea north of mainland Sulawesi. "Bentihu" is the local Sangir word for a hill or peak. Geographic databases group it within the Bentihu Kalaengbatu cluster; its coordinates (3.425°N, 125.661°E) sit near higher neighbouring summits such as Bentihu Batukakiraeng, estimated at about 980 m a.s.l. Bentihu Maming's own elevation is estimated at roughly 294 m a.s.l., but this figure derives from a digital elevation model rather than a field survey and should be treated as an approximation. Public information is very limited: no hiking reports, marked trails, or visitor accounts have been found. All data derive from international geographic catalogues (the NGA-GNS gazetteer and its derivatives in OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, and GeoNames), not from field documentation.
