Routes
Rute Kombinasi Avachinsky–Koryaksky (Traverse)
Sulit (Koryaksky 3.456 m jauh lebih teknis dan menuntut)A popular double ascent combining Avachinsky (2,741 m) with Koryaksky (3,456 m) in one trip — the two 'sibling' volcanoes that stand side by side and are visible from Petropavlovsk city. Avachinsky is typically climbed first as a warm-up, then teams continue to Koryaksky, which is far more technical and requires ice-climbing experience. This combination suits experienced mountaineers wanting to maximise time in Kamchatka.
SourceRute Normal dari Base Camp Avachinsky (1.000 mdpl)
Menengah (jalur tanpa teknis, medan scoria dan abu vulkanik)Avachinsky's standard route starts from the base camp at Avachinsky Pass (1,000 m), about 30 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The trail first winds through tilted pine forest, then opens onto scoria slopes (coarse volcanic rock fragments) that steepen near the top. The final 700 metres are the hardest — steep gradient on loose volcanic material. At the summit sits an active crater 350 m in diameter with live fumaroles. No technical gear needed, but sturdy hiking boots and layered warm clothing are essential. A permit from Kamchatka Volcanoes Nature Park is required.
